My grandpa surprised me with a used laptop, and I spent weekends at the kitchen table taking it apart, learning each part, and somehow getting it to run faster. That was the first time I realized I loved figuring computers out, not just using them.
In middle school I printed simple Computer Solutions flyers and slipped them into neighbors’ mailboxes. Most calls came from seniors who just wanted their email, photos, and printer to work without feeling rushed.
By high school, my Saturdays were packed with virus cleanups, speed‑ups, and digging out “lost” family photos. I got in the habit of backing everything up first and fixing the real issue instead of just clicking scan and hoping.
